This is the -- castle show. Broward and charge my batteries specialists Bob and a half past 11 good morning to you Merry Christmas happy new year one week ago -- Christmas Eve. And one hour ago. Until the Rush Limbaugh program is here we'll try to get -- there privilege and pleasure to be with you folks. -- advantage talk climb through -- for what ever you'd like to talk about it in Greenbelt. 3329673. Spartanburg 5749673. WORD -- like -- It's 71307. If you're just tuning in. One of the things we're talking about. New York Times article big bold headline all across the country. More and more sheriffs. And police chiefs are coming forward and saying. They are not going to enforce. Obama's agenda when it comes to gun control. Is -- they're not gonna do it. There's -- national organization the CS PO way. Chairs and police chiefs and association's state sheriffs association's. Which has put together a growing list. A law enforcement. Who simply say no. We are gonna uphold and defend the constitution. What this president's trying to do what's dumb some state legislatures like in Colorado we're trying to do. Is unconstitutional. And we're not gonna be a part of it. And for South Carolina. They South Carolina sheriff's association. Has said as a group. Now we're we're we're we're we're gonna take a stand here. Now this organization points out that just because and organization is on the list and the South Carolina sheriff's association is. It doesn't mean that every sheriff agrees with this stand and so they boosted individual sheriff's. From right here in the upstate a -- Ashley and -- bill they've listed Steve Boller in Cherokee. They enlisted del ray Clark in Pickens truck right in Spartanburg Bruce Bryant in York. But those are the only upstate sheriffs that are listed so it. It's an interesting conversation. Because we were talking about this yesterday. After the shootings having Colorado at that school on Friday the couple that was shot in New Jersey Sunday night out Christmas shopping. They gun control advocates are -- again. And they came out yesterday it came out over the weekend they never miss a chance to exploit a tragedy does all that matters to them is their agenda. And they have vowed to make yet gotten control. The issue in 4014. Heading into next year's elections so that has prompted -- to call Steve's in Greer high state. I wrote about in regard to sheriff -- as he's playing a political game he's not committing to anything he won't says organization anywhere you made a statement. Earlier this year that he would not challenge the multiple on magazine. -- glossy magazine. Concept that -- Obama and his crew is trying to pass he's playing a game and every one knows and you mentioned about Obama's Second Amendment I'm retired police officer and every police also want to be truly honest would tell you that. If the people don't have the guns criminals will always have gone to an -- always and in New York the reason why. There's such -- strict -- or New -- to -- this -- and act enhancement Tammy hall was so afraid the people we're gonna rise against them because it was so corrupt. That they need it's so difficult for war for people in New York to have a -- a gun and I'm retired New York police officer. You have sheriffs in New York now that are standing up to Cuomo and and employ you know they've they've gone around we have the story earlier. Well actually the end of last week. And earlier this week. About how they've gone or they're they're going around now and starting to go to door to door and demand that people give up their guns and in New York. Yes that state that's new York and it's very liberal and that it will go against. The people that have weapons and I'd say in the -- how many. How many calls that I was on. That people were killed or they were injured due to attack the criminals out if they had the weapons and they had anything to defend themselves list. Right right right right I see I have talked to law enforcement and they have the same of opinion as you do. They know that if they can't be everywhere police officers can't be everywhere. And they respect the right of citizens to be armed and to be able to defend himself. Absolutely if there are New York had a more of opened up that. Law abiding citizens would have weapons you can cut the crime rate down 60% to New York everyone knows -- every police stops and knows it but you have police police officers that I have to guess the -- -- city council's. You know county counsel's but I elected sheriff. Like this sheriff is elected by the people and he can stand -- she can stand all. Because they're doing the work of the people who elected then that's why they're proponents are united says there's but look this is not what. Really when it comes down to it. Is what's gonna happen at the moment of truth you and I both know that there you can be on a list -- not be on a list but what happens. I mean you've been out there you're you your plea saucer. I just wonder again what the local law enforcement. Where they stand. And I've asked this question on this program before Steve and very few of them have actually ever called me and made a public stand is that out of fear. They're afraid they're there will be reprisals against them. If they say listen my responsibility. First and foremost is to the constitution of the United States of America it just makes me wonder. Well -- because of -- -- actually right there are afraid of reprisals by federal government but as the sheriff. Elected official by the people. Concessions and Greenville county. He is doing the work for the people of Greenville county he's not working for the federal federal government is not working some political party he is elected official. And has the right to defend the people I should defend the people. No matter what. -- -- -- the in the constitution. Absolutely bad you have to hold up the constitution. And they're. Obama's we know Obama's doing trying to -- destroy the constitution and I'm putting that -- But the idea here is that the sheriff has to stand up and I know what looked -- just -- -- right now he doesn't wanna make a statement divorcee associations so people are sort of association. Usher rice made the statement that he wouldn't do at least for the publicly. Walked this has not come out of the Clinton Dickens to yes so so if you know -- I would -- want this to make a statement that he will defy the federal government they try to circumvent the constitution and take guns away from the people like bonds would make a statement. Yeah hold -- Right now I don't hold your breath the Democrat and a all right Steve listen thanks for the call in the comments -- Christmas to you America's heroes -- I didn't yeah got a bunch of comments here Ross. I for one. Am really glad we have truck right in Spartanburg I believe he is a man of his word and I believe he is a leader. This when Ross in my hearing the first of many to come rejections. Of the over reaching the federal government. Hard to predict. Ross thank him there's this way. Obama he's -- the military flag officers. He's been feeding the local laws but law enforcement forces with federal funding. He's gonna expect a dividend on that investment. This when -- Obama wants to have martial law to destroy the constitution declare himself king pro life. Like Charlton Heston said -- from my cold dead hands. Ross it's simple. What the sheriff's not enforcing. The president's gun control agenda bullied to federal intrusion maybe martial law. And that's that's a pretty sobering thing to think about there're many sobering things to think about in the news today right what's the take. -- I remember the first day this broke I asked the question. Snowed. Edward's -- is he a hero or a trade. -- -- again they'd charge. You may have heard this by now. A federal judge ruled yesterday. That the national security's been the NSA the national security agency's daily collection. A virtually all of our phone records. Is almost certainly unconstitutional. The judges US district judge Richard. He found that a lawsuit by Larry claimant a conservative legal activist has quote demonstrated. A substantial likelihood of success. On all of based again on the constitution. And the Fourth Amendment. Assurance. Against unreasonable search. So this judge granted the request for an injunction. That blocks the collection of phone data for claimant and a co plaintiff they end orders of the government. To destroy any of their records. That have been gathered. The judge stayed action on his ruling pending a government appeal. Recognizing in his 68 page opinion the quote significant. National security interest and stake in this case and a novelty. Of the constitutional issues. The judge set I cannot imagine a more indiscriminate and arbitrary invasion. -- this systematic and high tech collection and retention of personal data on virtually every single citizens. Citizen. For purpose of querying and analyzing it without prior judicial approval he said surely. Such a program infringes. On that degree of privacy that the founders enshrined. In the Fourth Amendment. Now folks that this would not have happened. If not for Edwards note. Yet I hear conservatives. I don't know who was it John Bolton. Said did -- us know and should hang from a tree. So I but I I put it to you once again. This was this was part of classified -- blood I mean we would not have no. What the NSA is doing now a lot of folks may have suspected it. But without snowed. We wouldn't have known this by the way -- -- praised the ruling in a statement. Made a journalist Glenn Greenwald. Who received NSA documents from Snowden. Other ruling also comes as congress is debating. Whether to end the NSA's -- collection of phone data or in Dorset in a law. The White House US officials say supports maintaining. The program. Huge. You know it was comic. You knew it was coming so what does this audience say about that now you got that. You've got Harry Reid. And because of that. You got a radical judge that was just confirmed he got that going on to get the NSA going on. You've got obamacare going on you've got this budget deal which is a disaster. So folks. Where have we -- in 2013 where are we now. And what what's to come. Share with. The -- I -- -- the end of last week. See if this. Speaks to you the -- spoke to me there's got in large salad. Wrote a piece called a government separated from the people cannot stand it here's part of what he says. In his 1952 book the origins of totalitarian. Democracy Israeli historian jailed Taubman. Describing political system in which it lawfully elected representatives. Rule a nation state. Whose citizens although granted the right to vote have little or no participation. In the decision making process of government. He says the federal government has become such a system. An entity unto itself operating outside of constitutional constraints. And unaccountable to the American people. He says the United States is now controlled by a democratic and Republican ruling class that transcends government. And sees itself as distinct from the rest of society. And it's the only element that may act on its behalf the ruling class considers those who resistant. As having no moral or intellectual right. And only reluctantly any civil right to do so. Power rests not with the citizens. But with a relatively small group of politicians and financing years. Who enhance their personal wealth and privilege by eluding the country to a self serving legislative process they maintain their authority. By adjusting the levers of government. And using the establishment media to manipulate public perception and opinion Barack Obama a coffee house Communist -- -- rights. Leads they did it dishonest and lawless a ball -- far left ideologue. Whose goal is to promote socialist policies. Republican leaders neither contest that viewed nor oppose their Democrat counterparts because they do not want to challenge the ruling class. They want to join it. He says the GOP leadership has gradually solidified its choice to no longer represented. What had been its constituency. But to adopt the identity of junior partners in the ruling class there is now a sharp division. Between the bipartisan ruling class and the rest of the American people. Who are considered retrograde racist and dysfunctional. Unless properly controlled by the dictates of central authority while. He is so spot on here. And many points out January 10 1776. That was six months before the declaration of independence. Thomas Paine published the 48 page pamphlet common sense. Which openly presented arguments supporting the freedom of the American colonies. From oppressive British rule this is good history lesson according to -- A society arises because individuals living alone in match in nature. Find shared benefits by living together rather than remaining isolated so in an ideal society. Were each individual acts in a morally just fashion toward every other individual there's no need for laws in government it's only when moral virtue. Is an adequate to -- human evil. -- laws even become necessary. And only when a society becomes too large to operate by collective agreement. And as individual enforcers of those laws do governments become necessary. So where are we. He says the status quo is no longer defensible. Unless there is a significant reversal soon. It is only a matter of time. That a catastrophe. Will be up office. Which may well lead to national collapsed and fragmentation. The ruling elites of a now hopelessly corrupt political system. Are just one major blunder away. From revolution. Lawrence Allen is a Ph.D.s -- retired colonel. -- -- -- nine years of service in the US army reserve a veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq. So I welcome your comments. 1122 let's talk to Jack in -- hijack. Hello are you don't -- I answer but I guess her ultra autumn. What all the kids you know we all had little blood mountain truly truly awful go hunting in -- You know mass shootings an all crazy stuff helmet just go back to teaching the correct thing. Yeah I I I couldn't agree with you more it's amazing. You know where we were then and where we are now thank you Jack 1125 now a quick break back right after this. -- 1129 let's talk to -- and found in hi Ruth. Hey rod yeah that element of the budget bill right now and discussed this past. Yeah it's just passed -- but yeah six billion dollars over ten years there won't military retirees. I got in their retirements -- yeah but to being illegal content child tax credits. I mean this thing is such a fiasco and -- as our shared earlier that article from the hill newspaper. It it gives Democrats. I'm a big bank US two year deal. Which means they won't have to go on the record come next November this is a two year deal says numbers all the way through 2015. Yeah I and twelve Republicans sort of forced. You have 67 to 33. Was that was the vote. And I don't happen looked like -- Campbell as a Georgia. I don't know he he was one of the key ones in there -- And so yeah you had you had twelve Republicans. Joining with the Democrats. Just to get this through because they wanna go home they're scared to death of a government shut down. -- Mr. garage deep body is craving. Well I'm not -- another crazy Fiat made. Hey here's what's thank you -- here's what fox says most Republican senators. Including GOP leader Mitch McConnell opposed it. Alabama's GOP senator Jeff Sessions called the provision. Unthinkable. Trying to undo cuts to the military. Lindsey Graham quote nobody wants to shut down the government and here's the question. Is the choice between keeping the government open and screwing all the military retirees. Is that the right choice. So obviously Graham voted against it I do not know officially -- Tim Scott voted on this but that's the latest news. So the Republicans. Joined with the Democrats. So now all the Democrats a formality now. And this was 6733. So all they -- -- need now is just a simple majority 51 votes. And they they pass beat this so called house budget bill which folks is a disaster. It's more spending. For the promise. Of cuts. Over the next ten years of bright news time 1131. This is that Russ castle show. Our man in charge my batteries specialists okay 1136. And I've got to try to squeeze this and by the way -- comment on any of this or anything else. -- you can get right through on the eagles' advantage talk line numbers dwindled to 329673. Spartanburg 574. 9673. Well I'm sure the Republican elites and the democratic lead her singing hallelujah. Because they think that we're just not paying attention. He's just incredible folks. So move just a little while ago. In the United States and it's more signs. That the Republican Party really is. Just retreating in the fear as -- Washington times. Editorial pointed out earlier this week. One analyst says arms either Republican party's going through post traumatic stress disorder. After the mythical government shut down there ever was a government shutdown but that's what they're out there trying to get people to believe. So they agree this is systemic aid to a two year budget deal how long's it been since we had a budget five years. So because of their stress and fear. They joined the Democrats in this and it's and this two year budget deal. Moves forward. The procedural vote 6733. This was the deal that passed the house last week. And you had what twelve Republicans joining with the Democrats. Now some conservatives had stepped didn't hear. And at the last minute tried to strip out the provision that -- was talking about. -- cuts into. Military retiree benefits. And also they've they've objected to. Increasing spending the last thing in the world we need right now is to increase spending. But it in that may sound contradictory but here's the point of this. It proves again what these Republicans and Democrats vote for they really don't care about the military -- as I understand it. In this so called budget bill a two year deal. It has a provision that guarantees that federal workers. Are gonna keep -- -- benefits in the future the new cuts only applied to new hires. So that was the standard for just normal run of the mill workers federal workers but yet they specifically targeted. The military senator Kelly I got to at a New Hampshire said quote it's unacceptable. To single out our men and women in uniform in this way. The provision that they voted for would cut retiree. Cut retirement benefits. For military retirees by six billion dollars. Over the next ten years. And the Republicans went for that three GOP senators Orrin hatch a Utah. Johnny Isaacson. And Saxby Chambliss of Georgia. They voted yes Ron Johnson a Wisconsin. Voted yes John. McCain. She. Came. The guy who brags about being so pro military people afford this. -- -- Also voted it it in favor of cloture. So it was a dozen. Ryan knows. That voted just a little while ago to advance this. The Democrats course that held together. So there will be one more -- for final package passage but they are now they only need 51 votes. So Boehner last week. Saying that conservatives don't have any credibility he was mad at Jim -- and The Heritage Foundation. And this so we thought. We undo sequestered. And the automatic spending cuts that were coming at the first of the year. And this would replace 45 billion dollars in schedule. Cards for next year. And he's about half of that. Now all. An increase spending. All just for the pledge. Ten years out. Which is just absurd even the New York Times said to vote for this would required I'll quote them a huge leap of faith so anyway. The Republicans in full retreat in yet explain to me how they expect to win next over. It's just it's just phenomenal that we got this. This judge. Saying in essence Snowden was right. Instead what the NSA is doing is unconstitutional -- is cold in about that idea. -- It's really sort of I wanted to know everything is -- -- -- had we could have yen US government. During the NF say to Obama care -- gathering information like crazy. On the average American citizen. But in current trip. If the US food and tries to get any information. About the role of government whether it's through hearing. Of having to be -- -- testify. Right. Thing that the government both the administration and congress. You think that's what is gonna come to bin all them. 'cause I I did it. I know a lot of people like your neighbor but I gotta tell you I I think in the end a lot of people are gonna sit there. When the knock comes on the door and they're gonna say listen and they outnumber me I'm not I'm not I'm not gonna -- I'm gonna die here and they'll do is give up their weapons. Well. There will be some people who do -- me but you know what. If go back to Germany. Yes if the Jews would have been armed. Yeah I wouldn't have turned out the way that a deal -- it turned out the way it yeah no no you couldn't handle it it would not I mean. -- United they average citizen of the United States. It's going to be forced to take this thing you do this surrender or they like we all our. In effect. Whether people want to acknowledge it or not we are in a war. With our federal. Yeah there was a. She's if I mean you what you say is spot on in a weekly standard there's a guy -- Crist number Christopher to move. And he he he's put it this way obamacare is introducing a new form of government. Improvisation. -- government characterized. By continuous. And -- revisions of statutory law of our executive decree and he says. This is a reversion to a primitive form. And he goes on to make the point that it's all by design so worship pushing us it's pushing to stand in the scenario that you described thanks for the call quick break. Back after this. -- 1148 so I asked earlier. What this ruling by this new US district judge. That what the NSA is doing is unconstitutional. So you think -- Snowden is a hero or -- we've asked this question. Before so here are just some of the responses. -- stone is not a hero he gave up more than just the Americans. A phone records he gave up a lot of important stuff. Then it will put our troops lives in danger. Russ what else to -- have. Why now are they offering him a community. For the rest that he has it must be good -- negotiations going on if you turn over the records they give him some form of amnesty. Ross what fails to -- half. -- known as an obvious hero Obama on the other hand subvert the constitution every chance he gets. Rushed him Scott Stapp told me this morning that you be voting against the budget bill so if that's true then Scott Graham voted against it. Still 6733. -- I don't think the Republicans do this out of fear I think it's simply what it is and this is what Republicans are today. They are truly yesterday's Democrats. -- big shout out to Snowden. And what he did that I think he should be some magazine's. Man of the year. Didn't he finished second to the Pope. In the -- things are happening in principle it's there and what we have going on there's nothing more than what Hitler Stalin Lenin. All -- about providing health care that was one of their key things -- -- We saw what kind of health -- they got. Well we we got this story out this morning bright part. According to a house report about -- mean they're actually training these obamacare navigators. And encouraging them to lie and in these navigators are encouraging people to break the law Ron. An -- thank you for the call we give them. I analyst -- very upset with congressman -- out. Prosecuted Nazi tree gallery on Greta Van Susteren. You gotta go back and watch it it was the most pitiful display I've seen in a long time obviously. Our representative has been rendered powerless. To speak out against criminal activity in the speak frost. He stated that obamacare navigators are recorded on tape telling applicants to lie about income and other facts in order to get bigger subsidies. Russ I think -- acted like there was nothing he could do about it. And that instead of them being prosecuted he would just be satisfied if they would lose their jobs he may have well been you -- me. -- powerless citizens sitting there on the program I cannot believe that now as bad as everything is we have no representative in Washington it was incredible. And this is signed Gina. That was so if you didn't if you didn't hear that last night. Obviously you would know here's part of it congressman trade -- on Greta Van Susteren on the record on Fox News Channel. There for at least two tapes that I'm aware no one was lie about your your finances and -- was lie about your pre existing habit of smoking both of which would impact. Your premiums and -- subsidy. And and actually get the US House of Representatives report -- copyright here. And I'll read the part that you were just talking about a says navigators to the urban league of Dallas were captured on video. Encouraging applicants to -- health insurance applications of the applicants could qualify for a tax subsidies navigators -- also recorded -- -- -- -- -- lie about smoking habit to obtain a lower monthly premium has this been referred to the Department of Justice of the local US attorney. Well I doubt it nothing much seems your preferred these days for criminal prosecution. I don't even know what they've lost their job Greta I know. The young ladies who are made the mistake of answering -- had these questions on the all the phone lost her job I don't even northeast who have lost their job. Well but there's no background check and and it's twenty hours of training. -- you undergo more training to be a lifeguard at a reflection pool then then you do to be a navigator. And then you can take the test is many times as you need to you think how will we -- done in school -- you can just keep taking the test -- do you. Pass it that's part of it. So where are we here so these people. These navigators or anybody else that a government agency they can lie they can commit fraud and encourage others to do the same. And apparently nobody in Washington either gives a damn. Or her or is willing to try to stop it. You heard -- did you say well I doubt if anybody's gonna -- be referred for criminal involved at prosecute. -- is not just criminal prosecution nobody seems to fire -- What are our week. And where are we going something to think about today 1154. Now.
