Well we've made it our number two here salute to service this on Saturday John in check here with you are listening to one a 63 WORD. The F states talk station. In a segment number one to. Segment one hour it. And I'm just stop kind of slammed dollop didn't get pregnant twice and I have acted then he's crazy words today got me dunk I don't Karl yeah I spoke formalized in the brain cells there. But it's our number two segment number one and is done for little gene altering gunfire. I got that viral. And you know what this is just funny we we seemed kind of trade back and forth that there will be a show for your kind of tongue twisted and Tyrone hill and get it right word Eros and I had big instance. Just one of those things. Well I'm gonna blame mine on a neurological mr. cook at. I got got evidence of yes this street where the cat scan idea I had that got I've got photographic evidence of something wrong with me and I just don't know what it is. Colin that there he's pollen and his two means who. That's a that's another word add to list antihistamines. Which got you you first room on Friday you lagged in this room quick as I got pulled up at a San Ramon California. This are tightening budgets hefty payday they're actually becoming the norm for a lot of firefighters now before let me preface this by saying this I am all for people making in my money is a game. I I like the idea of a public servant getting paid what they're worth. But 400000. Dollars a year that's pretty. That's pretty good money. So are getting money right there. Let's see 2015 some firefighters in San Ramon valley fire district for making as much as 40000 dollars a year in total compensation. More than half the full time employees at the department were. Make more than 300000 total compensation non total compensation includes. Your insurance insurance at all and everything out total package yet it's still man. That's pretty serious generally don't 400000. Dollars and to sit there recliner and smelled Chile didn't cut. Well I'll clear that Manny you know there aren't and that dog come on now listen I. I would have been. More and more than happy. I would have been ecstatic. It's a 4550. Am I would have been out of Manhattan beside myself. If 45 to fifty insane if firefighters aren't worth as much money merely speaking uses a police officer assured some pretty they are. Are relieved it. But to make over a quarter million dollars now they they there there there are people. Are are saying hey we're we're saving money. By. Funny where were funny our liability a mining our retirement plan. And we're not hiring new people were just paying overtime so in essence were saving money in it looks like a big shells raining budget yeah and into the shelters and so it's habit. That's. That that's pretty good affectionately. Making it that. And my articles I had this is a kind of story our reload sharing with you guys the remains of a marine shot down during the Vietnam War headed home after 48 years. The remains of first lieutenant William Ryan of the go to New Jersey where identified through DNA tests conducted by the defense POW MIA accounting agency. And they're coming home finally his plane crashed on a combat mission in southern miles of the Vietnam War may eleventh 1969. The day before his son's first birthday say pianists son has now. 48 years old never knew his dad and all this time later. Is. His dad's remains there are coming home to US soil so that's good as one of those things where medical technology signs everything has come together. And can help bring some closure to these families and we certainly love to share those stories and is just a reminder man that there's. Ye hear a lot about the the families of veterans with current conflicts that. There's still a lot of folks out there a lot of families Korea Vietnam even stumble warts and stale but we're these. Episodes of finding remains in identifying them and bringing them home to whatever relatives. May yet be alive yeah so that that fame can have a burial can have some sort of ceremony and have closure. For their level on their fame that that's that's a good thing when that happens is sad story I don't mind Helen yet and you know what. Teddy Kennedy mean hatchet. Hatchet Tim Tim how or anybody. If I Ernie better I'd Tim Kennedy. So it you're up in the last time we talk we we discussed she dog response in and you're in the process of setting up a charitable organization final one type of the situation. Four on that to give the ability to some of these smaller agencies and law enforcement cultures to get the training that they need. In understand that's finally come to fruition. Yeah I had a better Equus there's a couple of weeks at drag up the phone. Do you remember that we go fast. We're aware of so I think exactly to recheck screwed up the older we hear an ops that popular that. But that quickly party at a Clarence. Hurt all that all of split the mature deplete such depended. Page for our scholarship which sort of sound which park foundation bit due respect it specific. Military or Puerto training that you courses are or what else. Merchants at the thought of a vote of he or she course. Network that we're ready from writing term. No military and law enforcement which like sleeping skills in addition to submit it looked like beat or kill. It you know and that that's something that I I don't think is discussed often enough and and probably isn't trained often enough for me in a lot of officers and our carrion. Tourniquet on their duty Bell's name got I Faxon their cars are on their best they're they're load bearing vast. But I think that that there's a certain level of training not being given a used to be it when I started. You're your first date was ABC. And it was become so if you if you got into a situation with somebody and they goat herder you had heard some wind. You just had to stand by and wait for the ambulance because you were qualified or competent enough to to give those lifesaving measures. So it's from what I'm understanding your you're teaching your your making that part of your. Your classroom. Absolutely. To teach two courses. Is its requirement for all compact. On the military assumed Kurt Kurt could hurt our guys go through it. What would this in English. It would toward protecting him and work all of these storms are up shape lives in a public. They are very slowly trickling in pursuit building. Market account you'd like how to take an age of eighteen years go fights it's a long time. And a lot of goat by excuse. Take to glean information from it and it's just now keeping their world we can you know how people in oracle now courses. Then you'd like we which sank it. I put that are based out Lee when he got a border quick yep well it's it's that easy he's got a strip that are there that this is how you do it. Heating and merlot bacon my profession that it you know that's that's what else to Ireland but talk. That's amazing and am I think that's a skilled it. Again is is often under utilized in and granted there are times Nittany him much like an inning in a military situation if somebody gets hurt you're not always in a position to. Render first day because this scene may not be clear. Or they're still need to be it still may be getting shot at. But at least you've got the skills available. To get somebody outside that golden hour and get into a trauma center where you could conceivably save a life whether it be the good guy bad guy. Yeah I'd be able able. You gotta hit the Nelnet you know an order of how we do things are almost one. It is you engaged in the clutch threat period you'll be looking out and pitched to that club or target that she doesn't need to get all the things that make you look to it. Operator exude that officer that makes it to church. It you try it could be towards the sound of gunfire put on the ground. After that then you move on the second. First and foremost it's more like threats. And then second thing you know touched where where that where that shouldn't happen though don't eat the worker groups. Movements like people. All the slopes. More very popular local clique the same boat that clutch threat that (%expletive) so it's been Michigan. Look into you learn how could be a white person. I I can't think of a better way to put it now somebody. Were interested in and donating two or being a part of is a third party. What you've got going on there how would somebody go about aides say somebody wanted to donate money. Two year your scholarship program or how would they do. You didn't even pay for a lot early if you have a pure excellent or brother sister that's key shots it's about one person. To go to war art courses. Are you gonna chief Doug survival farm out work. And look you can sponsor a specific officer you can donate in U not money on you can even ask about you know people that are. It's a little on electric extra course or ready right now so every officer purchase order fire fighter. Firefighters it in any Turkey excitement and those political act. Our legal or illegal Kerry coached with such a long way. Pete. Often times every body to be seen what in the low tarps. Or budget for our our our our medical lake. God. Local the only problem on electronic it's important supply her purse and one with one. All they want typically give chief ducks or apple talk about or. It's five and 23. Can sit sparked off an equal and expert retired apartment. Yeah and more. Singles or little directly to training in the military and on course. I can't say that that's. Amazing amazing work mr. Yu blank and it really is in and from. A law enforcement standpoint and I I can't express you enough how much and I know you are you know this but how much this is needed. Especially for these smaller agencies where your run and you know maybe ten cops to a an entire apartment they just don't have the budget. Available to them to send people to these you know big courses or even local courses to get this level training so what you're doing. Is. Much needed and in certainly much appreciated. Yeah it transcends and it just. Just on law enforcement knew you have pushed under a unit side and fireside they are rich that I have got extra trump the most elite you pitched. Throughout the military air and the public park bench that still a bit like trying to. There's lots of course soccer mom all course the shame there's a lot of oh crap they got showing young and old home in England comes in and marked that could force used and everything but what are you weren't like. What works but we know what works and that shall stick with what works and get better at it. No it'll all little Q. So but I think final full time to eat yours. My heart it's lifted and I'm hopeful that wherever opportunity TV. A refocus and re just so our military law forced. Not just real quickly ten and we're gonna let you go Mankins and you're busy Fella but they are you traveling around to teach these course Federer is a requirement that the whoever stake in the course. Come to you. You run them out of Austin we also travel. All over the country she cute too cute show will be virtually air DC area. And at that score we went to sort out. Or capacity law enforcement clutched in capacity. While I have a couple of slots last building collapsed. Kern. That's that would back in the Dallas area. Earlier April. It not that that the far is just two people go to our courses etched its Q give. Want forced military training that they need which could start for oil we export but that's up there is. It's also sanction the other courses and equipment like tricky shot to the right at the pollsters are the types of sites. And we gotta we gotta we gotta switch to break hero quickly put John Alford just amending carry this over the next next segment if you got time. I meant appreciate it 1063 W a RD would check in Zhao will be right back with Tim Kennedy. Welcome back slid to service and John and chuck and on the phone with us Tim Kennedy. As pretty suspicious Iowa house are Cindy that information off line here. I would appreciate it whenever we're looking and everybody. I got free and I. Hear their doggedly pursuing this there is no more shady place in South Carolina. It is endless is pumped in town Hamas Tompkins county laws making them so they are. And is serious note now he will never come to visit us now. Your start up a podcast once tells a little bit about what that is an end and in what what you gonna be shared on that podcast. Kia and order crime or coach is like ships that he's. Thirty years special operations guys yet listed. It and thanks 84 and director Rick rain Reggie. But it try to regiment Hewitt special forces for such forces as an eighteen Charlie can expel currently what problem and exported guys typical cut. And quite before and Aladdin. He would accepted medical school. Eric still. Get. Those Dolan is the planes slid that Dodi try to not go at groups like. Do you you don't actually go to medical school and has never good except I guess. Blasts through its. And it comes back to group can back it's eighty emergency. The sense that combat casualty care. Expert and in poor deployed quit. The spear guys on or location. Term as eighty. Look at your trauma surgeon trying to see you. Pure one type shooters. He does or held at fifteen years and it he's so a urgent cure doctor. In he is the director of our training he unite brought this course. Or are brought podcast area that we cover. Talk concealed carry to oak obviously. Addition to which outs cost or Cole stepped. You know we we color cover on our locality struck. What Ike's takeaways and what are retention. It's it's cat and kitten that Arlene who like to dial a warrior looking that. Philosophically all of that to order societies are summarized sparks to doubt the current date. Special operations guy which I think is a par with the most. I think at warriors and in history. And that's what it is quite what is wrong and how we recruit it's species. Wow that's. That's a lot as a little heavier and what we normally do here. We'll let you know the only thing you're medicine in all of that was to was chuck Porter and John Turner. There are those the only two names of note that you have done that but that's OK I can understand where helicopter mechanic and a cup. In and in an aviation guy from the army would be excluded from. And it's looking back at and how can people listen to this this podcast and what is it called. It's called sheep gut project. Band. It's on. So I can and struck who play to Detroit. I cute but is it that easy but success Kuwait but you can you make it just for the pot caption right shoots cheap gut response we can look up to an idiot. I accept that doctor Mike Simpson. Or you don't L did you find. Two guys like us. Won't even let you two got you don't find anybody like us individually that I passed the same that's illegal. Are there is about to say to and there are there are no code to have a guy. Like keeper there's nobody like you cool. First to look up. That have come from or how similar they parallel only experience this up but for. Absolutely opposite perspectives. That are sitting there together you know behind microphones talking about how artist first so we are try to kill. I wealth I ma yeah I'm understood that it's a outstanding Tim I just wanted to take say and thank you so much for for taking the time out of your data. To call an end and we're excited about the she dogs survival find more posts and information on our FaceBook page on the salute service page and the will we achieve I think we could probably slasher that over to the W or. Always a pleasure to hear from you sir. And my pledge from our man at your disposal thank you for everything you guys do you think Chad ill. You're good mantech India don't care what anybody says. Right what it you know. What what what an honor it is to get a guy like tempted yet they give us a time today but. You know for for a guy like him to it to go out of his way to start a a nonprofit organization. Dedicated to helping people get training that they need him. They couldn't ordinarily afford it I mean that's just ask where the the impact of that and I thank you you hit on that a lot of this around here. In India say you think in a KEA here in Greenville county you know fairly prosperous areas Spartanburg county large department you know pretty did you know economics in this in these areas that department to get what they need. But then across. The state as a whole then across. The the nation as a whole. There are a lot of. Small. Departments out their law enforcement like he was even thought about you know firefighter paramedic. Department people that are you know on the tip of the spear so to speak its first responders. That just dumped. Get added that the deet tails training did the level of expertise piece that gas like Tim Kennedy and and doctor Samson I mean it special forces guidance now on ER trauma gas. Right that have you know bin they're done that in places. That most people never even heard of across the planet. Yes and they're able to bring people in and share that with him well and train them to make them better so that when they go back there's there's small department. That they can take that knowledge in Macon share that and in that somebody's. New husband or wife that's out there you know serving as the first responder firefighter paramedic or police officer's life can be saved somebody to. It ended in this instance let's say may be is is the person that. The police are engaging. Right and you know and they they have to discharge a weapon but yet may be this training would help save their lives and that once whatever legal issues and justice wheels that turn have turned. That this person is still certain to live out the rest of their life for their family and themselves and and others it's. You know I just think that's. That's a very positive thing and that is is key against some the mask on back Darman a spaz from earlier in the show yet when James Mattis was talking about you know you see people. Talking so much about veterans coming back from this these experiences and you know post traumatic stress and stuff like that. And he's used the term post traumatic growth where people go when you've seen what's the worst. That mankind can do to one another and you see that and you come back and you know I'm gonna do some Alan do some good. Yes I'm gonna take what I saw in use that to be motivated to do something. Better to make it positive impact well and then take these other guys are doing and yet they're they're making other people better in this guy's like you know ten guys like our friend Fred. Yeah out in Arizona and it did that. You are art giving this knowledge away essentially and in. Anecdotally. I was in the academy a million years ago with I got from clover in South Carolina. And if I remember correctly he was 1 of 2 am police officers. Full time police officers in that town now I'm sure that and agencies grown now with. Over can't afford to send somebody does it and you know any of these B we may GC what we can do about some type of thing here to fund raise help and maybe get a couple of officers and paramedic or take from this area sponsored for some stuff that I think Hannity and anything we can do with the show we could spread that we can send one to Tim and one different. Something like that now I mean I think that would be beneficial mutual apple is set to say because you weigh in it's honestly something has got to get chain of command and and more importantly probably a lawyer's approval for a it's who ethnic thing. Our there's there's just in time there's the music when we come back out we've got all kinds of VA stuff. You better take an aspirin before I go over some of the yet because it's already making my head. Kuerten when he started the segment yet and Tony's called and so will grab that calls will you listen salute service one of 63 WORD wood chuck and John. We'll be right back because well we're excited to be here and so should you. Moist and thickening like normalized onions John yes there we go out just a few words that have been sent to discuss. You're just joining us we started today because that before the show we're always Thomas some silly and we got on the topic of the words that just you hate. And now asset you did text into the comments his retirement planning to excellence and want freezers and know what word. You hate that when somebody says that you just wanna flip the table to slap on the screen one had yet and tetanus gave the a few of those a trifecta an idea and a circle another thing is a dish out now from clover Boylan and angrier now thank you for ten meaning appreciate that absolutely. This one I ended ended ended ended guys not. Not that we should hear addition Swedish politicians or mainstream media the Swedish police officers have been saying there's been a huge rise in crime from migrants who arrive from the Middle East. Ali's Swedish police officers not their politicians there's very likely need for draft over there. And that was kind of the irony I was speaking yeah although although craziness with. President trump last week or the week yet for weary made the off hand comment about all look what happened in Sweden last night. Yes and everybody in the mainstream news well I want nothing like I had an and then and then something happens that have been occurring and you know that because you listen to talk radio. And then everybody acts all surprised and then some of the tribes that global cute he did it million Tron made him do it Yasser doors it was his fault sailing as you know react yeah. Tony has called helmet Ingles advantage talk on Tony welcome to the show how are. I don't want your loved spoke up until four year old who was always appreciate all. I'm doing something. Brother spoke. To about birdies there in Washington. Martin girl and let Jerry that's the skateboard at all. All want to add world marine just got out about four months ago and the other one world. In the army Brooklyn Serb over there and sandbox. And they are doing something special promoting it started YouTube channel. And they are going to train me to be an operator. Yeah I can't forty years old so well this will be difficult. Yeah so ambient comedy. That's what does that help at a not that she wanted to date. It won't debate so we go to bed it will be good baseline. Graham and they aero marine. Base lines. We did coastal with the at all. Then we did but biblical. Well. Also were pertinent. Yeah it was better. But it's. For my age I didn't really go to all the physical. That's not made me feel good. Well I. Maybe eight and a half the battle yet. They're so bad Blair. We bought that we have started me think Trammell. And no wiggle the wheel of course so videos and more shows. That I thought was really nice of bill into law. What to do this or make that you know. The veterans yeah they're both get everything that they can be Dylan yeah. They decided to do this it's gonna help one level you know. These back into the local civilian boot my. Which. Will remain a lot. Were him and for me knowing that he's willing to do bill. And so I just want to go to shut out to ground to a veteran. To all those look but also there were more civilians. We really do appreciate what he did sports and we're willing to actually give out there were yelled a little cute. I'm not going to be well they you know they could signal or bill purports surrender and not know when they're well built up. Well. Yeah well you could just end up being though and this can be very important you could just beat Tony the hardest guy in your neighborhood to kill once they're done to each. Masks. An account that what would lead not to give it everything does go bad. At least I've been able to. Protect myself but friendly both brand and if we believe this then means you'll leads people to protect neighborhoods. Are we there yet you know other eleven think that they can clear your world sit in the corner or slipped a lot. Or eat my Cheerios. I'll never be out there are so brain you know are the par five out of any empty lot of slope that would. Politically conservative and the ways and this being in a possible that the word that I can do them good you know. And well good MIT's it is probably is probably good for these guys and especially if they've just been in recently you know there. It's it's a good fellowship thing if you don't sound good buddies. That you enjoy spending time with they enjoy your company and you're doing something that all of you enjoy coming to is just a good thing no way around man and not. In good for everybody Tony let me ask you question real quick before we let you go man you see to the PT test today. Were you sober or hung over. Move either. Our blood boil. That that Poland. Would consider it wouldn't push the ball. Until the marine. Manual whatever it was like table was the one by you know everything is based old age you know it is disqualify them. I did extremely well. I don't know one by all well and then there are in about eleven minutes 32. Well if there's any advice I can give you about a Marine Corps PFT it's always best to run those either slightly drunk or hung over from the night before I always had my best results. They're running in my PFTs in that state I don't know what lies. But that that would be in my recommendation you to drink heavily the night before. Or have a drink before you get started and I guarantee your times whimper of. The big bad what bad news though what little Drake. I'm like. Don't. Read it a shot in my equal whatever that work. Closer and closer and I think Colorado I appreciate. It thank you to you as alleys and a good time with some asthma and that's account. And that's what can ounces you know enjoy spending time with some of the guys and you know and Mike as you know I think for a lot of people that was one thing I had I didn't really have when I first got out years ago. Was friends with buddies free. That was just some you know some people would do that kind of stuff with course it was difficult in a work Indian banking analogy having a wife Anna and one order at the time so you know I'm sure that that says something that. And Tony's enjoyed it and I'm sure these two guys are absolutely and absolutely I was about the day. Well it's time for break mean announcement that. Wind or yeah that's not enough about them they are only matadors are you and I think you can rely on on this idea when we come back Brady did. This BA stuff because of mine hasn't been twitch in nearly enough ground throughout this whole shell sell this on a this up to fix that problem salute to service one a 63 W ordeal would chuck and John. We'll be right back because were a couple of special ballots. A victory. All right. Final segment today he's episode a salute to service we've made man fastest two hours in my week and just. Quickly. A little VA staff fewer would. Got into a couple of stories from the VA last week and trump plans for VA reform in the new signature in the VA mr. Schalken who is doctor MD had been there at the VA for a while and has now. Running the show there and in an interview he was talking about look if we've got. You bad people we're gonna environment. Who's gonna say well you know doctor show can mean I know you're you know if you're listening it's more than 23 or five individuals that need to be dealt with the industry reminder quoting from an interview he'd given recently on the fox. If there is evidence that an employee has broken the law cost harm to veterans or has violated the public trust they should be terminated immediately. The health and well it goes without saying you would stop in the you know in the in the in the scheme of things and kind of how. People might have to go. Exist in the private sector. But this week congress lawmakers trying to get into accelerate the discipline process of the VA employees and of course the union is fighting back. Now I'll tell you this horse canyon fighting back there are always find out that this is a mean I guess that's just one of these things again would be had a dream in the private sector that right now law allows federal employees. Thirty days advance written notice thirty days a full month notice. Before year either fired or demoted. And now these congressman are trying to do currently is put a bill. Three that would cut that to ten days heads up which that's ten more days and you get in the private sector. And then of course still the employee east in union employees at the VA still have their union representation making go to an appeal then there's the mayor protection court system. Then also. Does things. Holding up stuff like that making decisions to return ill gotten bonus money to certain management individuals but the bill would also require. The appeals board to issue a decision on a demotion or termination and 45 days and what so what is it currently what is currently on her last year last year the average was 281 days so that's 281. Day in day. Getting paid you're paid me a bomb. You get to you get to do bad stuff and not your job and stuff the US I would be fired for a medium. And you get 281. Days to collected while pilots while it's on appeal and you know in Atlanta Aamir. And I hope. For good things from mr. schalken and and president trump on getting the VA straightened out but obviously. The president can only be so hands on as the chief executive. Even the head of the VA can only be so hands on when you've got eighty. And of our Iraq Percy Iraq's cities and has you know push and it 300000 or so employees. So you you depend upon people like your your chief of staff. VA chief of staff well. Last Sunday. A a lady was named chief of staff she's been working there at the VA for quite awhile her name is Vivica right Simpson she is the interim chief of staff effective last Sunday. Filled numerous rolls they're in a press report last Sunday said. She is a trusted leader with a commitment for serving veterans. The one thing the press release left out found convenient to do so was. Not mentioning that right Simpson was instrumental in blocking. An investigation initiated back to Pennsylvania congressman one Republican and one Democrat. And of course it goes. Do down the path of well we wanted to make sure they got the right information when these two congressman or for weed and wind again. Data that hadn't been properly he. Vetted yeah maybe but manipulate it might be a better word things like that so we just who didn't want you to see us doing shady stuff exactly. And this is an outrage and again of course we focus on the the the VA here since this is the solution server issue where we're dealing with the veterans and military issues. You could probably take this example. And pick it up implant it in any federal bureaucracy. And it would fit. Absolutely and what did you got to be a silvery bureaucracy could be it local aid could be a straight eight pages account. I mean. It is the same all over on the trade data it once you start dealing with that. That. Nexus that is government bureaucracy government being a general term yeah. Nothing ever gets done yet these this this situation as one of the as it were just gonna continue to watch this year and I haven't I mean. Having. Stories to cover on them. Veteran to pick affairs department has we've we've not run short of that now the entire time and I haven't on the show that. You know this is one of those things guys where it's just more and more. If if we don't get it fix. This time it at bat. That is done is done and just. You know we've been talking about this for so long but I want people understand that this is not. A recent problem this is an indirect Morocco bomb problem where G dub problem yeah. This is been going on for 56. Kilometers we've had. How many people Colin hearsay and Nina AM my dad or mom uncle or you know I am yeah Korean War veteran Vietnam better World War II veteran what we had you know one gentlemen Colin recently combat is Hadley was his father was a war two veteran had just. Was not in anywhere near that in this is in no way means that there are not good people. That are working there at the VA and look to do their job achieved just got such a crappy system. And we're at a time that guys wanna make sure we get that out there that's why we have to be vigilant you have to be vigilant. Thanks for joining us folks another Saturday in the can join us next week in same bat time same bat channel and as always if you can't be safe. The dangerous we'll see you next Saturday folks who've got a pretty good show lined up.
